hi all
the cdc in our my2000 s430lwb has failed again.
i've been reading about fibre optic "rings" and it appears that i could replace it's position in the ring with something else like perhaps an ipod connection?
it also seems like a good idea to use the vacated space for a dvd player as we are off on hols soon, i'd like to do a lot of the work myself if i can.
any thoughts on alternative locations/screens etc?

thanks

Unless you have TV in the car I would forget about adding DVD unless you like spending lots of money.

Ipod can easily be integrated at the expense of the CD changer. Mercedes dont make a kit for the D2B cars but Dension do.

hi Alfie.

The ipod thing looks highly likely then. The car has Comand with the option 862 TV prewiring.
We will be holding the car for at least two more years , possibly three, but of course the TV thing is for the back seats, not sure whether to go down the headrest or between the seats route.
Can you give me an idea on supply only and supply and fit for the ipod kit as a start please?
