IPod has no sound and disonnects (ntg 4.7 on R172 )

I all,

I have a Comand online ntg 4.7 that used to work perfectly with my iPod classic via the supplied cable to MI that came with car when delivered in october

It connects fine and I can search albums/songs but there is no sound, since it was connected it's never left the centre console and cable hasn't been moved or damaged.

It seems to disconnect and reconnect after a minute or so and sometimes is searchable again and other times not.

I checked the iPod at home in a Bose cradle and sound is fine and it doesn't restart

When connected to car the Mercedes logo appears on the screen

I have tried resetting both Comand and iPod but no joy

Anyone got any ideas ?

Its under warranty, take it back to the dealer ! Its either the lead or the Media interface itself. Probably the lead

Yeah that is my next port of call, just wanted to check if there was some simple reset option as getting to dealer isnt so convenient
