How can I restore the full search options for my ipod on my 2104 W205 with Audio 20. If you look at the before and after photos you'll see some options greyed out. The ipod has 25,000 songs on it so the search function is essential. It might go a month with the full menu then all of a sudden some options fail. You'll see that the alphabetical search disappears.

Not sure I can see from the photo's what you mean, but I've been caught out before thinking that lots of music has disappeared when a Playlist is selected as opposed to the full device library.

Just a thought.

If you look at photo 2 you will see a column on the right hand display showing A-Z which when clicked on means you can jump to that point in the menu. That's when all the search functions are available, if you look at the 3rd photo, the A-Z list is missing. It's the same story be it album or artist.
