Hi all members,
My W124 head lining has worn out (started to collapse on me while driving),it is genuine leather and I feel pity for it,however,I live in Hot climate country and sun is doing a great job to deteriorate the interior of the car.
I went to a specialist here ,he told me that this lining cannot be fixed,it must be replaced,he offered me three offers:
1-one lining made in Taiwan (cheapest),
2-other made in USA (cheaper)
3-and the third made in Germany.
The German one is the most expensive, and he recommended it.
My questions are:
Can the head lining be fixed?
If not,Is it a good opportunity for me to lubricate the the sun roof rails and tracks while replacing the lining?
and if it is a good opportunity, what lubrication is recommended? I have asked the local dealer here about the lubrication for the sun roof and he gave a price that drove me out of the dealer immediately :(
Since I bought the car (7 years ago) and I'm using Lithium lubrication spray for the sun roof and I apply it once annually and so far doing a good job .
What do you think ?
Thanks in advance
