hi folks i picked up a cl55 w215 on a 2001 a couple of months ago and i'm still wrestling with all her little demons i bought her as a project intending to restore her. so this weeks little problem i have to sort is the rich petrol smell i'm getting from the exhaust she seems to run fine but has a very slight stumble on idle and you really got to concentrate to notice it, she is only giving me around 5mpg but my foot is welded to the floor lol i love the noise and she is giving a little bit of white fumes out the exhaust as well a bit like condensation and im not getting any trouble codes or check engine lights im thinking it could be the lambda sensors causing it to run rich but everything i read says it will cause a rotten egg smell rather than a rich petrol smell any help would be appreciated :dk:

Getting it on a STAR system will show the output from the O2 sensors.
Get it to a recommended indy and let them give it the once over.
Well worth the initial outlay and will stop you guessing and throwing money at it.
