turn a non-adjustable steering column into an adjustable one?

Is this feasible? and more importantly not prohibitively expensive (working on the assumption that anything is feasible if cost is no option).

We should have known.

Steve - the column is only telescopic not height adjustable. I thought I would not use it (C200 never had it but 230 does) but how wrong I was. Not a daily use, but once set to prefered setting, makes a nice difference.

Heh I might have known Steve has done this mod

The only reason I ask is that I have the seat adjusted just the way I want and the only minor gripe is that I find it hard to read the speedo from about 75mph to 85mph beacuse the top of the steering wheel partially obscures the view. I could drop the seat height but then I wouldn't be as comfortable.
