Is my ml420 wheel spinning or slipping

I'm not sure, but when I pulled away quickly from a lay-by earlier first gear revved out really quickly and second gearstarted to and then found traction. Is that possible in a big 4x4? I had it remapped last week and this is the first time I've noticed it. Doesn't it have TC though that should stop that happening?

Any other suggestions of wheel spinning, or just the revs climbing quickly?

Unlikely to be wheelspin unless you were on a slippery surface. Maybe the torque converter slipping?

Perhaps the remap is overloading the torque converter. You need to check as this could break very quickly if not dealt with.

When I really give it some in my ML500 the front left wheel spins up a bit from time to time, even with the TC on.

Leave the windows open and listen!

If the tyres are spinning, you'll hear it.

Don't know about the dashboard lights on this car (I'm a new owner) but I would expect some indication if the TC is cutting-in..
