Looks like it with options: 655 and 956. Any pictures?

Early W202's didnt really have a standard as to what was supplied when an option was ticked.

Why are you asking the Question? has your insurance listed your car as a Esprit or Elegance? My old W202 came up as a Classic on all insurance databases yet the VIN and DVLA (and spec) listed it as an Elegance.

Doesn't that sound like an Esprit though. AFAIK that's what an Esprit was, a Classic with sport alloys and sporty suspension.

i just washed it so i'll get pics in the morning
my insurance lists it as a sport.
i was just curious as to what defines it as a sport becaude it's just a C180 on the log book.

I thought it was just the trim; being carbon fibre instead of wood, and on the door pillars and a lower "sportier" ride height?

Hi, welcome to the forum!

Yep that definitely looks is a Sport model.

The W202 came in a number of trim levels before the facelift; Classic, Esprit, Elegance & Sport.

I believe that the Esprit was dropped when the W202 was facelifted in about 1997.
