Definitive answers only please.

CLS AMG Type III 19" wheel - front.

Long story short.

My local dealer can't get me B6 603 1230 in Sterling Silver - no longer available.

They can get me B6 603 1209 Titanium Silver,

however, their system shows 1209 is a replacement part for 1230.

It's been suggested that it may be the same colour but from a different supplier, hence the name change.

I need to know as the dealer won't fetch it in until I've paid for it, and won't have it back if it isn't the same colour.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone know?

Thanks.

These guys appear to think its different Wheel Paints might be worth dropping them an email. Worst come to the worst you could simply respray the front /visible section of the new wheel with a suitable aerosol can. Piece of cake on a new unmarked tyre-less wheel off the car

Thanks, my wheel refurb guy says it's easy to match when new/tyreless.

It just doesn't feel right to be painting a brand new wheel.

If I were you I would buy a cheap can of Titanium silver paint from Halfords (used for BMW car wheels)
Then you can see what colour you can expect

I know what you mean but any new wheel is precious only till the first time you scrape it against a kerb- then that aerosol can that you got "custom matched at your local motor factors for £17 to spray it originally----- will come in handy to restore it ---or any other wheel to its former glory. MB "don't do" wheel touch up spray paint-- for some reason.

For completeness on this thread - and I can only speak for CLS wheels.

I ordered in the Titanium Silver wheel, which the system said had replaced the Sterling Silver (which was no longer available).

MB had said that one part number had replaced the other, and that colour would be the same, despite the name change.

They were right.

Car - Sterling B6 603 1230
Loose wheel - Titanium B6 603 1209

However, the "alternative" part number of both was the same.

Interestingly, MB were c£70 cheaper than AWD, after some bargaining.

Job done :thumb:.

Thanks for your advice.
