Perhaps its simply too expensive. According to Forbes its priced at $40,000 more than its natural rival the Porsche 911.

Contrast this to BMW's i8 which is sold out for 2015.

But surely that's partly down to the mad waiting times for these cars? Plus, low numbers are better for the owners as they probably won't depreciate like other cars, black series and all. SLS is a rare motor and still holds its value, look how much R8's drop.

When I was at Ridgeway in Eastleigh last weekend they had a very nice blue GT in the showroom. Whilst it looked great I must admit I preferred the look of the White SL400 that was adjacent to it.
