Got some new front and rear bumper trims from my facelift W210, but I cannot figure a way to removing the existing trims without damaging the bumpers.

Is there a knack to this?

Cheers

IGNORE this post; apparently they are NOT the same as a c class. See post 4.

If it is the same as the C class they just lever off.
Use a plastic wedge so as not to damage the bumper itself.

They slide before you can remove them. There are elongated slots in the bumper that the tabs slide into, don't just try and lever them off, they will get damaged.

Is this the same for W202 bumpet inserts? Not the chrome but the coloured bits? Mine are damaged but theyre a different colour to the car, how would I be able to find the paint code coz mine have been badly repaired by the previous owner, if I can take them off Im pretty sure I could sand prime and paint them to look a lot better, I dont have a garage and live in a flat so I dont wanna be taking the bumpers off if I can avoid it.

You shouldn't have to remove the bumpers.

You'll have to take them off to get at the clips on the bumper inserts, these are very easy to break, - you'll need a flat bladed screwdriver and lots of patience....
