Is there any kind of workshop manual for early R129's?

Does anyone know of any workshop manuals for the 300SL R129 series?
I have the WIS which just doesn't seem to work on any computer & isn't very user friendly when it occasionally does.
I have heard of a printed manual (I'm sure one went on ebay a few months ago) does anyone know where the hell to get one from - or is it just an urban myth???
I heard a rumour that there is one available to Club members - if so how do I join & how do I get hold of one?

There is a technical info CD, a Technical DVD and also a wiring diagram CD available through the official owner's club. The DVD is by far the best, though costs £100 and only available from the US.

Thanks Pete, I tried that company but they have nothing for R129 - only the older 107.

WIS isnt easy to use but once you find what you are looking for there is nothing like it... If you are on the official owners club contact Television as he will be able to get you what you need..

ill have a go too if you tell me what it is you want, but malcolm is the expert..

Thanks - I have Malcolm on the case already - he's trying to copy the info for me but apparently there's loads.
That's why I am looking for one to use without keep bothering you all - as helpfull as you are !!!!

There is - the technical DVD - available from MBUSA. It's worth every penny.

The DVD is listed here. From memory you had to take the part number to the MBUSA website and order through that, but this was a few years ago.
