I doubt it's cheap, but thinking more professional than personal use

www.Abritus72.com

Anyone seen this before?

Interesting as it's not on their UK site that I can see

KAP Diagnostics

I don't want a debate on whether they should be repaired or not, been done in many threads :thumb:

Its nota repair but reset of the counter. No way to repair the unit via ODB!

Yes sorry, a reset is what I meant

I know there are places that reset the counter, was just wondering as this is an easier way to do it?

I can't see this as being anything other than a method 'clocking' the SBC module.

Not good.

It is possible for a MB dealer or specialist to extend the life of the SBC module under some circumstances.

Beyond that - taking this route - you are taking a critical component that is designated *life expired* and basically winding it back.

Economically MB deserve significant criticism for encouraging this state of affairs through SBC replacement pricing.

However that doesn't excuse those who delierately do this to save money.

The SBC unit life expires for a reason ....

Mine was done using that exact software.
