just had an email from the guy on ebay, he tells me its defo leather and he has seven w124's and three of those are leather too and this is the same!!!!

looks like mb tex to me, but what do i know

Used to have a 300e-24 with brazil leather. The seats looked the same pattern as these but the door cards had ruched leather on them

It's not the same design as the MB Tex i had in my post-facelift W124.

closer look at the photos and it looks like the seats are worn in the same way leather does, so i reckon the seats are leather. not sure that the doorcards are though

I love that colour. I once had a 300TE in Impala with a Brazil leather interior. It was lovely.

My post facelift MB-Tex doorcards had perforations in the panel where you would find the 'ruched'? leather on the leather version.

It's pre-facelift leather. On MB-Tex seats the panels run right up to the front of the squab like this:

Definitely leather - this is, rightly said, the pre-facelift leather interior. Seat facings, sides, headrests and part of the backs were covered in leather.
The door cards were normally MBtex whether leather or MBtex had been specified.
