Its only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.I see that being 8000 - 10000 at the very most...

You might see it as 10k max but as you say, someone will pay the asking price and it won't be for long I'm sure

The original owner bought lots of options but not the heated seats which is a shame.
There will be someone out there who wants a practically new W124 who will snap that up.

it is easily worth that

brand new mondeo or an almost brand new w124?

which would you chose?

thats easy

neither

you pay £15k for a mundeoo and a year later its worth say £12k

you pay £15k for that merc and a week later you realise its only worth £5k

rare does not mean valuable

rare means you thinks its worth more and only is when some sucker agrees

5k? We buy any car say its worth £415.

Lovely looking car tho , top quality.

Don`t know why every time a 124 is mentioned loom questions start. My saloon has 160 still on original loom and when that goes,it`ll be something that you change once and get on with it
A loom cost about the same price as a set of C63 tyres, don`t hear anyone owners going on about it

^ Its all releative to the value of the car though, So a Loom is £1000 ?thats a lot of money on the value of a normal W124

A set of tyres on a C63 is very little on the value of the car.

Anyway back on thread.....

Did I see one carefull owner listed at the bottom of the add.... THE Boss :)

Maybe its been driven to its destinations on the back of one of these.

If I had the money I would buy that in a heart beat! I have seen many low mileage cars, but with only 3,000 miles this is superb.

Me too as something to just keep. I'm not normally a fan of low mileage cars, condition is always the most important factor.

That car just looks box fresh, I just wouldn't want to use it on a daily basis. Agree with some of the other comments if it was a coupe or estate it would have been snapped up by now.

I know it's up for £15k, but for between £10K or £12k that would make a nice buy.

That is stunning

It's like one of those new old stock watches you can buy. At £15 and a bit I think its a steal.

This or a new A160 BlueEff 5dr - I know which one I'd rather smoke around in

Don't know about the A class but I would not smoke on that 124 :p

To ask "only" 17995 he must have paid a lot less than the original asking price

I see, as usual making a 'quick buck'

So - what will he have done? Bought the car, taken it to his place, and in doing that made a few thousand?

No, but I just don't think that's the most legitimate way to make a profit.

Likely he's only selling the car on the owners behalf and get his share once sold
