If it is, i missed it.
On page 20 of todays Daily Mail, it says,
"In TWO Years Time, Mr Darling is adding ANOTHER SIX Bands to the Emissions Category, (currently A-G) including a NEW TOP Category.

Is this CORRECT (and if it is,) is it for OLDER Cars (not Brand New in Two Years?)
Thanks

Yes, errr, I think what is happening is that the number of bands are being increased to reduce the CO2 "spread" within the existing bands, if you see what I mean. Also, there is going to be one year showroom RFL tax for the upper new bands and the present top two, F & G, are being bumped up quite a bit next year.

Post number 22 http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=48700

The more you read about it the more pain just gets worse I guess.

Portzy.

Quite correct. Just looked it up.

We will all be driving around in milk floats soon if the present lot get their way.

Neither Brown nor Darling have driving licences!!

The average household puts out more CO2 in one year than does the average car---we are not paying taxes to save the Planet we are subsidising Public Expenditure!!

My Kingdom for a real opposition !!

John

Yes and the building regulations are getting ever tighter to try and reduce it, replacment windows came under building regs a few years ago and its due to tighten again soon with the Window Energy Rating probably being introduced as legislation.

What you cannot legislate for is people putting on their heating full blast then opening their windows!
