I am looking for a 128mb module of RD Ram, or a matched pair of 256s.
Up to now the price I have for the single 128 module is 30% of a new computer.
Help guys!

Maplin do rambus memory as follows...

RAMBUS 128MB 800MHz £49.99
RAMBUS 256MB 800MHz £97.99
RAMBUS 256MB 1066MHz £109.99

Microdirect do them a lot cheaper but you will need to open an account with them (which is not difficult.

I am in the same boat. It's not too scarce on EBAY though, if you take the risk of buying memory on there (hard to prove working/not working perhaps).

There is a company 10 minutes from me that seems to be as cheap as anywhere

http://www.cclcomputers.biz.

And if you're in a real hurry, get the money to me and I'll call, collect and post the same day.

Frankly I am not surprised... personally 'RIMS' aren't my cup of tea either ;)

I am told that there are certain people who will, for sufficient consideration, perform the most deeply unpleasant and unsavoury tasks. There are a load of lawyers around me right now.

Shall I ask them for you?

I bit the bullet Motard and managed to get 2 x 128 MB RIMMS (Samsung) for £80.

I now have a total 512MB, which although is half what I ideally would like, is enough for XP and is all I am willing to get for Rambus prices.

Keep an eye on EBAY. The seller that I got mine from had more I think.

Mmmm, sort of forgot about that. I should put the two 64mb modules back on Ebay I guess then look for one 128. I only have two slots and there is a 128 in one and a blank in the other. Maybe I should look for two 128s like you have, £80 isn't bad at all really, cheaper than buying one 128 module.
