It is with deep regret that I have to admit that I am in the market for a Range Rover 3.0 TD6. :ban:
I really do need a 4x4 more urgent than first thought, so I will be looking to put my beloved W211 320 Cdi Avantgarde with Panoramic roof up for sale ASAP.
I was going to wait till next year to buy a ML320 CDI, but needs must. So if anyone knows someone that would like to do a deal with their RR etc then I will be putting some pictures on this weekend. :thumb:

I like your style Sweetpea, great choice if you want a 4 x 4.

From a recent owner of a Range Rover Sport TDV6 3.0 HSE.:bannana:

Hope you stick with us on the forum sweetpea. Good Luck with the new motor.
You can't get rid of me that easily!:D
I always, always have a Vito in stock, so I'll always be a part of the forum.....
I hope :p

You not considering the LPG option sweetpea?
No pal...
A few reasons-
1. Generally small LPG tanks, so more filling up
2. I am led to believe that although it is half the price, it burns quicker, so like for like with a V8 LPG it would still only work out 20mpg tops.
3. I sometimes get a few freebies from my Dad, with regards diesel ;)
4. Diesels have better residuals :thumb:

It's not the weather, it's the fields!
My rwd 211 doesn't go very fast in mud....:D

Shame. We have tarmac up here. In fact, we invented it and most of the world uses it.

Have a word with the Council. Get them to google 'tarmacadem'

Quality!

Sold one recently, bought as an ex demo with every extra.. most comfortable car i've ever owned and that was with the 22" wheels - even better on the 19's.

Other than a sticking brake caliper had no problem with it at all, which seems to be the complete opposite of most Range Rovers according to the internet.

If you go for an early one you can add dvd navigation and 'factory' bluetooth really easily using bmw parts - loads of info on the web..

make sure it's had the diff recall (sorry modification!!) work done, have all the suspension airbags checked because they're a fortune to replace and make sure you get a warranty - three weeks after i'd got rid of mine the garage that bought it (LR main dealer) phoned to ask if i'd had any gearbox problems - no - needed new gearbox at a cost of just short of £5k... car had only done 32000 miles and had only ever been serviced by the same supplying dealer.

If you're buying private spend at least half an hour playing with all the electrics - you'll find that you soon forget the w211, it can't compare to a ffrr...

1) Aye, the tanks are on the small side, mine was 90 litres but could only get about 65 litres of fuel in it, which was good for 260 miles tops. You can get much bigger tanks but then you'll be eating into your boot space.

2) There's not much defference in fuel economy between the diesel and petrol engines and with diesel being more expensive at the pump, it makes you think! I was able to get 25MPG out of the 4.4 V8 running on LPG, so in theory, equivalent to about 50MPG in terms of cost.

3) Can't argue with a freebie! :D

4) For some reason, this is true!

Don't forget the diesels sound like tractors and smell! The V8's are, well....V8's!!!

I am going to have a look at a 2003 Range Rover 3.0 TD6 Vogue tomorrow. :ban:
The man that is selling it is about to lose his licence for speeding offences, so I should get a good deal. He might be interested in doing a bit of a deal with mine for his missus to have.
Anyways, I will keep everyone updated tomorrow :thumb:

Well, I've been and had a good look at the aforementioned Range Rover 3.0 TD6 Vogue and we have, in principle, agreed on a very good deal, to include my beloved E320 CDi.
Its silver, done 91k with all but 1 stamp being Land Rover service history and it's got all the toys any man could wish for-
Heated steering wheel
Front & Rear heated seats
TV/Sat Nav/CD Changer
TVs in headrests
Upgrade alloys, the list goes on :thumb:

^ Any warranty or can you buy one extra

As much as I love the RR they still look the Daddy of 'jeeps' all that kit and its a lot of kit... would worry its going to carry on.

I would guess that a 3.0 v6 in the RR would do just about 30mpg if your sensible on a run?

Bet it looks great mind, no denying that :)

No warranty mate. Private sale.
I've got that good of a deal that I will be putting at least £1k under the mattress just in case anything arises...
He really likes my car and that is why the deal is good for me. :D
