Hi

I need some help, I looking for a good recruitment agent to get me back into Commercial IT.
I have been self employed for a couple of years and have mainly been working for smaller companies and doing other Technology projects.

I have spoken to most of the big players but they are not being of much use.

I guess I am looking for an agent/employer, that in their words "thinks outside the box".

Talk to Wynnwith and Randstaad

Hi

Do you have any contact details for them? I have not been able to find any so far.

Try www.totaljobs.com - they have quite a few IT postions going and once you register your CV several agencies pickup your details and contact you themselves for postions that they have.

I got my current contract from an agency that found me on jobserve, or was it jobsite, or was it totaljobs, or was it cwjobs, or was it reed? Who knows! All I know is that they rang me rather than the other way around.

Hi Sparky,

To be honest I would like to find something permanent, due to the benefits...mainly being training and a regular income. However, I would consider either, my main thing that I am looking for is regular work with a regular income.

Hi,
If you go the contract route you can buy your own training... and you don't have to beg your boss to give it to you... You can fit it in to suit your needs and the money comes out before tax so its more efficient. I also understand that there are some government schemes to aid continual learning that might also help...

I have rarely found companies that are willing to pay to train you in somthing that is useful in the jobs market :)

Regards,

Peter
