This place is ridiculously close to my house, and specialises in German cars. There are often some nice W126 and W123 models outside, as well as other future German classics. They also re-charge air con from £45.

Anyone used them?

Not used them myself - my '72 350SL always went to SS Motors in Weybridge who are MB specialists as well as doing the odd Aston etc.

I've used them quite a few times in the past. Not got a bad thing to say about them really!

They are prompt and efficient, and have always seemed very fair and reasonable with their prices and service. Only thing to be aware of is that it can be a little awkward to find a parking space nearby (it's right outside Hampton Court Palace after all ;) )

They have worked on several MBs of mine over the years, plus others that I know, and I usually take all my cars there for MOTs too - no complaints :)

Pop in and see them, they are happy to discuss any problems/requirements and are very genuine people.

Thanks to Will and Stats007 for some interesting information. I recently spent an entire Saturday trekking up to George Fraser to get a new silencer, and afterwards realised I could have dropped the car off at JP and walked home in 15 minutes. My visit to George's supported the views on this board - technically excellent, but possibly too busy to keep all his customers happy.

Next breakdown, and it will the JP Garage, or Weybridge. Thanks again
