You must've got yours about the same time as me then 👍Was from a Sunday supplement I think from memory? I do remember paying for it in instalments :) Mine unfortunately has lost it's door mirrors in numerous house moves 🙁
Yes it must have been 1992. I know I'd just moved to Norfolk for the first time and was then working on the Toyota Le Mans project.
The clue you left was the date, no real customer cars were delivered until 1993.
The green one for sale is certainly not a 1991 car as they were all prototypes which I knew very well.

Mactech. Stop piddling around on here, dropping us tid bits and concentrate on writing that bloody book !! (including lot's of photos), signed copies and a small VERY LARGE discount for MBclub members of course. :)

@Petrol Pete - corrected that for you :)

I saw one driving through an industrial estate in Wellingborough in the mid nineties, it looked huge and a little messy to my eyes. Around the same time I saw an XJR15 at, of all places, a kit car show show (hidden amongst a load of Ultimas) Now that was a beautifully proportioned car.

Are the heater controls out of a Ford Escort. They look very similar.
I remember the column stalks and vents being of Ford origin, so I guess the heater controls were too, but I forget which model.

The XJR15 was the work of stylist Peter 'sticky' Stevens. He of the McLaren F1 and Lotus Esprit. The XJ220 that of Jaguar's Keith Helfet.
To me the 15 always looked awkward and very 'cab forward' with its long V12 engine...but each to their own.
I have no doubt which I'd rather drive on either the road or track.
I drove the silver one to Blenheim Palace and back twice over 3 days from 'up north' in comfort, I was deaf after 10mins in the '15' at Millbrook.IMG_2336.JPG

Original links have expired so can't remember if this is the same car or not. This one has 1,950 miles on the clock and is RHD
