I have a trade in value from Apple - for another iPad - for £130 for the above.

It's immaculate, like new.

is it worth trying to sell it myself? How much is it worth?

eBay it and you’ll get the market rate at that time. Logic suggests that it would be a little more than Apple, but whether it’s worth the hassle, only time will tell.

Do you really need to replace it? It ought to perform adequately for a few more years yet based on my own experience of iPads. I hold on to them personally.

I had a quick look on eBay - prices are all over the place. But generally higher than £130

I agree it doesn't need replacing .. I am getting a standrad iPad as I want a larger screen.

Have you tried Music Magpie or similar?
Might be more trustworthy than some eBay buyers.

We have 3 still in use:

2008 - no more updates but works as a photo album etc
2015 - recipe book
2019 - normal use.

I’ve never found their prices very good. Tried them a few times. Also take a look at what they sell the equivalent item for.
