F1 got too boring for me to follow, but the ridiculously wet Japanese GP could be entertianing.

Not sure what is funnier, the spins or the height of the Japanese marshalls that came running out afterwards.

I know there are crowds to dissapoint etc, but looking at the in car footage, I can't believe they are racing, amazing stuff.

Here Here.

Not the best of conditions but the "serious bravery award" goes to all who competed today. Did make for som einteresting watching..!

Great drive Hamilton.. I guess he only needs to finish 4th in one of the next two races to take the title

Those coupld of hours flew by - great watching.

Like Martin Brundle said, if you think F1 drivers are overpaid prima donnas, how about 200mph when you can't even see the dashboard....amazing stuff.

One of the great races, that will get remembered!

I rolled out of bed and dragged my self to the TV, and got really annoyed with ITV for not making it clear the race didnt start to 05:30. Then got even more annoyed that they still employ the Buffoon Allen.

Then, just as I was thinking, this is going to be rubbish, i might toddle off to bed, they suggested the safety car might come in.

I did enjoy the rest of it, as I had no idea what was going to happen.

Is it me, or does Lewis have the same luck as M Schumacher?

I also wonder if an Alonso announcement might be forthcoming soon?

Bed early I think.

if he finshes 4th in one race he will have 112 pts.
if alonso wins he next 2 he will have 115pts
bad strategy.

if he finishes 2nd and then crashes out of the next. alonso will win on the more wins in a season basis as they are on the same points

While I agree luck does play some small part in almost any sport, I dont think you can get to where MS got by luck. Whether LH makes it as big as MS is to be seen, and as much as I would love to see a British driver at the top for ten years, I cant quite see that just yet.
Two sports I have played are golf and snooker. Both I enjoy and yet both I am hopeless at. Watching them on TV by the top players makes it look deceptively easy. Almost as though anyone could do it. Its not luck. It pure undiluted skill.

I am sure Hamilton would argue that 2 tyre failures plus other bits & pieces weren't lucky, the points table doesn't lie. When Schumacher's engine failed at the end of last season I think Mr Alonso had plenty of luck.

I think that Hamilton this year has done what Alonso did to win the championship for the last two - drive as the situation demanded and above all remain consistent. The real test of how strong he is mentally will come when he is the established star and not the underdog, as Alonso is showing this year it's not so easy when expectation is thrown into the mix.

I am just so glad to have the sport I've grown up watching not put me to sleep every race weekend. :D

It might have something to do with my condition as I watched the race [having stayed up so late I thought I may as well watch the start!] but my favourite bit was Mark Webber being interviewed just after he went out.

Something about '.......kids.....inexperience.......f**ked up...'. I can't imagine how pleasant he must have been to interview as apparently the poor guy barfed inside his helmet early in the race - YUCK.

Puts his drive into perspective though.

Its was a Great race, Love his comment (Lewis Hamilton), I backed off and couldn't really driver slower What a drive ...Awesome.

Did you hear Alonso afterwards saying something like its not over yet but we need an unfortunate incident....

Go Lewis!!!

The what turned out to be a surface only fire on one of the cars in the pitlane was quite exciting too.
