Marvelous streamlining!

How long before we see one of these on every building site in Britain. Wonder how they managed to integrate the back hoe and front bucket into the streamlined bodywork.

Seriously - a marvelous bit of British engineering and a great publicity showcase for the company's products. How about some special edition JCB's with the same commemorative paintwork as the record breaker. Plant guys would be queueing up for em!

Well done to my colleages at the Ricardo Technical Centre in Shoreham, West Sussex who carried out much of the engine development and durability testing work. 750BHP from a diesel digger engine can't be bad..............and there where two of them fitted to the record breaking vehicle!
