certainly interesting though.. all things start off in some sort of basic test form but as technologies develop there may be ways of making it more efficient.

I sometimes wonder when watching movies when someone will actually make some of these weird and wonderful contraptions...
when will we have a hoverboard and when will our cars actually be able to take flight...

Both the examples you mention will probably use similar technology when the time comes, just scaled accordingly. The Hover board would be the answer to many problems depending of course on its power source.
Its often been quoted as the person who invents a genuine cure for baldness will become the richest man in history. I would argue that point and say it would be the inventor of the Hover board - as shown on Back to the Future.
