I thought that would make you spit your dummy out.

And using big boy tactics by having the last say, then closing the topic, talk about "it's my ball and i'll decide who plays with it".

Dave,

I have been unfortunate to read some of your posts on this forum and it appears to come across that you have an attitude problem to people in general.

I know we are all different and have differing personalities and opinions but you seem to really rub people up the wrong way, and I don't think it is just me.

Lighten up man.

See you Dave. So Long. Hope we never meet professionally.

Ever seen 'The Office' ? You behave like David Brent - no self-awareness, you can't be wrong and you have to have the last word.

Your immaturity in the 'Jobsworth' post was spectacular. All because you couldn't get him to do what you wanted. And you want to tell the world about it.

The irony of the traffic cop, used to laying the law down to the motorist, being on the wrong end of a jobsworth was completely lost on you. What are you like when you've got a uniform on?

You've got up the noses of quite a few people with your attitude.

Why do you think that is?

Typical copper...

Think they are above everyone.

Go get a life...

Nope, not typical police, typical *traffic* police. I have the greatest respect for most of the police force. It's only the traffic police I have my doubts about.

I have never seen a member quit a forum before, it's a little bit sad really.

Spot on Shude.

Quit, sacked, banned I don't care we are just better off without.

Shude, you are right actually. it is just traffic police, never thought about it before, but that is dead right!!

I am glad its not only me that noticed this attitude from Dave.

Generally I respect that everyone has a right to express their point of view. I also think its healthy to have heated discussions here but when this turns into a personal attack then I begin to think differently.

Check Daves comments earlier in the year in this thread that I started a few months ago.

If this isnt the bl00dy typical attitude of a traffic cop, I will eat my hat.

Is it just me or has anyone else here had this kind of bad attitude from 'traffic' in the past?

The words chip & shoulder comes to mind.

Personally I believe the whole police recruitment process is inadvertantly designed to filter out the good and encourage either liars &/or complete and utter b@st@rds.

From reading the threads on both sites I get the distinct impression that as a last resort Dave flashed his warrant card in the hope that the parts guy would be intimidated into giving him the key.

The thing that made him most upset was not that he didnt get the key but the fact that the parts guy *wasn't intimidated*.

I wonder if quiet threats of SP30's were aimed at the parts guy also....however it went down, AFAIAC well done mr parts guy.

I'm not in favour of coppers looking to gain favour because of their job.
But in this case I dont think thats how it was meant.

If you read the original post - the parts guy wouldnt move - yet they knew who he was, what he did for a living - therefore as far as identity is concerned - he was in the right, the problem lies in that identity is not the issue as far as replacement keys are concerned! The fact is that MB now require a photocopy logbook to order the keys - end of story !

Dave has always come across as bit abrupt - but the original post had almost died before Koolvin added his comments - almost forcing a reply of some description - immediately followed by locking the thread. This could certainly have been seen as antagonistic.

I think everyone here who has met me - and even a few that havn't will think I am fair minded - I certainly have no problems with Vin (or anyone else on this board come to that) We met at Maffs and I have a great deal of time for him. I just feel that in this particular case - a response was provoked and then dealt with unjustly

With Dave banned and not wanting to return - it doesnt matter too much anyway - I just felt the need to express my opinion - not start a flame war!
