This was the Blue Peter of my childhood. Get down Shep! was the first thing I thought when I read he'd passed away.

I'm starting to feed old now and things like this do nothing to help my mid life crisis.

I also grew up watching these people on TV. Great basic fun programmes. Jonny Ball's 'Think Of A Number' was amazing in the day.

I'd be very curious to see what today's kids would think of such programmes as they're unrecognisable compared to today's shows. It's natural for things to change I guess.
