Mika's post on his W124 estate aquisition rather whetted my appetite for the somewhat older motor car.

After much debate on the merits of using an older car as a daily drive on another thread, this morning I took delivery of this.

I'll add a bit more later but I have a chap coming soon to fit a new radio for me so I can get bluetooth telephony.

A big thank you to Jonathan at Avantgarde for a very pleasant buying experience.

That is one beautiful car and YES,I am jealous

You are a very sensible chap, welcome to 124 world:)

super car,well bought.

Well done. A beautiful car. You wont regret it. Welcome to the club.

Very nice. Is that little AMG badge on the front standard? Looks a bit out-of-place and fiddly for my liking - if that were my car, it'd be coming off. It gives the impression of AMG wannabe, when you're clearly not.

The headlamp wash wipers could have been straightened prior to handover :P ... only joking. that is a minter mate :) enjoy

Congratulations Palfrem, that is absoloutely gorgeous.

I believe it's standard. Just a bit of Teutonic frippery I guess.

That is really lovely.
I honestly believe that there are few nicer car environments than a 124 interior. Over and above the 'hewn from granite' feel, for me, the interior feel dateless and so 'right'

Another person who's jealous.

Now that I have to see and hear in the flesh. Let me see Solihull about 120 miles from me and on the way to London. I wonder.

Congratulations on the purchase. Its the Dogs.
