Hi all
My 2000 E320CDI has developed a judder which is felt through the floor pan. It appears to be from the passenger side front wheel, however there`s no shaking in the steering wheel. It is only at a certain speed. Is there a steering damper on these cars and could it be this?

Thank you in advance

Martin

Get your rear suspension checked out.

It could be a buckled wheel, but most likely a rear wheel out of balance.

The steering dampers are built into the rack and can't wear.

Thank you very much, guys, need to get new tyres on the rear, so hopefully that will then sort the problem out.
Thanks again
Martin

Loose undertray?

Thank you very much for all your input.I have had the tyres changed on the rear wheels and balanced, and that has sorted the problem out

Thanks again

I was going to say... tyre balancing required.

I had the same problem on my Honda a few years ago.

Possibly out of shape rear tyre or engine mount.prop shaft centre bearing good luck
