It's one of these strange phenomena- dinosaurs seem to engender a fascination in small children [and possibly some adults retain this later in life? ] meaning these films are usually a foregone success at the box office.

Most of the creatures are from the Cretaceous period, but I suppose it doesn't sound as sexy as Jurassic.
