Does my 2004 clk 320 cabrio have traction control and can it be turned off ? if so how?

Thanks guys,
Tony.

Not sure about your car but generally speaking you can turn off ESP which will also turn off traction control, for example when starting off on the snow, but not disable just traction control on its own.

Cheers Mark i do have ESP it will only be turned off for emergency playing!

Tony.

Apparently switching-off ESP does not eliminate all electronic involvement in driving, to fully place your car in the hands of its mechanical bits there's something called 'Dyno Mode' that can be activated from a 'secret' menu on the instrument cluster. Google it or look it up on YouTube.... But you are not really meant to drive the car in this condition, just use it when testing it on a dyno.

If you do put it into dyno mode, be aware it disables all driver aids, so you won't have ABS or BAS (brake assist) either.

Should make for some interesting form filling if something goes wrong ;)
