The aerospace industry is one of the worst hit sectors in employment, Rolls Royce just laid off up to 9000 skilled workers, they were our main client, as a result, my job is kaput.

I still have my SIA licence so i have fallen back on that for regular work for the time being, but its not what i want in the long term, so i have decided to do what i enjoy doing, cleaning cars, already had a few jobs from word of mouth and really pleased with the feedback ive had so im going in balls deep.

Admin if its ok i`ll post a link to my facebook business page, if its not ok please delete as appropriate, many thanks.

Someone I would now class as a friend from a VW forum did the same thing.

His business has gone from strength to strength. He’s recently rented a unit although he still does his mobile visits.

I’ll admit I was a bit sceptical when he first started and quit his job but he’s well and truly proved any doubters wrong.

Good luck, there seems to be plenty of business out there.

Sorry to hear about your job, however every change is an opportunity, and it seems you’re making the most of this one. Wishing you the very best with your new venture 👍🏻

You're not taking it lying down which is the most important thing. Best of luck with your new business.

Best of luck in your new venture

Go for it !! Wishing you every success with it. 👍

Great to hear such a decisive attitude, one that will serve you well as a self employed business. Good luck, I’m sure it’ll be the best thing you ever did.

Quickly taking control of your own situation when faced with change, as you have, bodes well.

wishing you all the luck in the world
have you considered contacting the manufacturers to see if they offer courses so you can be accredited to use their goods (and possibly get preferential rates on purchasing their gear)
Sometimes it is better to do a couple of courses to learn the correct way first, before slipping into bad habits

Most importantly ---- get yourself insured

You have my vote of approval.
It's a shame you aren't closer as I might well have been a supportive client.

Possibly you don't need advice, but if I was to give any it would be don't allow credit, it becomes toooo complexicated.

Derby is only an hour away, if they had more than one car to do in one visit then we can sort something out
