I went onto WeBuyAnyCar.com and thought id see what value it came up with for Emmy.. the 124 cab..

Anyone wanna try n guess?

I got quoted £60 for my 280SE (FSH, low miles, original etc etc! ) a few months ago!!! :(

Any where near ???;)

3,000

There was a 124 320cab a while back with 5k on the clock,a member put the details there and their reply was
We are happy to buy your car for 4500 pounds

Knowing them, about a grand I'd guess. maybe a bit less.. :D

£200 it's the sort of car they would not retail themselves, but just move one so I guess the system would assume it's rotten etc....

A bloke at work had his X Reg Vectra valued at £35! He phoned them and told them it has a full tank of petrol so could he have £95 instead!!

What you get quoted online is usually vastly inflated compared to what they finally offer once they see the car.

£8000

I got offered £470 for an old 300ce which was very good, i mean very good.
Got there (for a laugh) £120 offered - "it's scruffy sir and the seat shows signs of wear".
It hadnt been washed for two weeks, and I pointed out that at 190,000 miles, most seats will show a touch of wear!

I'll go for £1500, although that could even be on the high side.

As mentioned they would not want to sell the car themselves, so the offer would be an estimated auction value less a percentage. And no system could value such a car accurately ... as we know, it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay ;)

I think £3,500 about a tenth of it's real value

They only knock you down for undeclared damage or faults. They tried to deduct some money for a crack in the rear bumper of the car I sold to them, till I pointed out that I had declared it on the form.

They offered me about 50% of what I think [ know] mine is worth. I think yours will be a less % because of it relative high value for an older car.
My guesstimate is £9000

edit, jeeeeeeez, knock a nought off my guesstimate

I can better that. I'll give you £1000 for it...

You`ve beat me to it :o so I hope he does take your offer :D
