However, dry roads at this time of year just mean salt powder buffeting around the car when moving along so I'm holding off until spring kicks in and we've had spells of rain to clean the roads.

At this time of year, the best conditions to me are the slightly damp days where any salt clings to the road and doesn't get blown around your car yet dry enough not to cause any splashage.

The torrential rain has washed all the salt from the roads round here. Apart from a couple of damp spots, curiously always on the exit from bends, there was plenty of grip

totally agree with you there, I will never tire of the sound,best grin factor money can buy I only have to start her up and I lose some bodily fluid in anticipation of that whine and sound lol and I haven't been able to drive her since dec 18th cuz of having spinal surgery on the 19th and cant drive for another 2 weeeeeks arghhhhhhh

However, on the damp roads, two wheel drive is useless, even more so in this car than the last one.

I wish they could package the 4 wheel drive (and 3.6 secs ) that our overseas friends get .

Ah, the supercharger whine on a V8 - thought it was the wife at first!

It was a bit addictive, especially with the roof down and the sun shining.

That's the Jag XKR .......... now I'm addicted to the sound of that woofling Merc V12 in the CL........ totally different and utterly wonderful.

I originally thought I was going to need to sort out the exhaust to get a louder note but it really does sound fantastic with the windows down ....
and quiet with them up, so best of both worlds!

What a great car ........ when there are no fault codes!

Yep its great isnt it, driving back from a client lunch time I gave it a blast. Dont thing any car I have owned six months later is still making me smile.

Since i owned my AMG, i love going to work and try to leave earlier than normal to avoid traffic so i can enjoy the drive even more....oh and also get 18mpg "WIN WIN"

Love the car to bits. Cannot wait for the summer though!
