P.s I like the sound of your son though, pretty sure he wouldn't be one of those standing around watching me struggling down the stairs with the pissy old beds

He was brought up by a pair of disciplinarians. No corporal punishment or horrible parenting but he knew that we meant what we said and always followed through (punishment or reward).

The strangest (sarcasm) thing of all, is that he loves his parents and we are all very close. Modern parents seem afraid to discipline their kids incase the the kids grow up to hate or fear them.

This thread has gone on way way too long, we should have closed it ages ago.

Its descended into a middle-aged man's complaint thread, that things that are different from when he was young.
It gives a poor image for the forum and shows off a very unpleasant side to the place.

The world has changed, maybe not always for the better but a car forum is not the place to rant and moan about this.

And please don't just continue this on the 'jokes' thread.
