Just joined the EGR delete gang

Hi all

As the title suggests only yesterday i had the EGR mod done by Alex Crow in Suffolk.
I must say that the c270 was running beautifully before the mod with absolutely no smoke under acceleration, so i,m not expecting any drastic improvements in performance etc. I had it done purely for peace of mind so hopefully i will not get any future swirl flaps or inlet manifold problems.

I only wish Alex lived nearer Croydon so could get all my work done by him, a top guy and well worth the journey. anyone who has not had it done yet it's worth thinking about, could save you a large bill at a later date.

Blime you get up early mate..
I also had it done on my previous C270 Cdi and it was very successful with no issues whatsoever in the 30k miles I had the car after the delete was done.
In my case it made far less smoke under acceleration.. I remember the MOT tester commenting that the smoke test was waaay below the norm for that engine.
I too would recommend this procedure to be done..
One day it will be available for the V6 Diesels (he added hopefully)..

One more thing crossed off the list now, thermostat next i think.
