After all the reading, test driving, new engine wait i have finally ordered.

E350 CDI Coupe Sport with new engine.
Metallic Black
Black Leather
Piano Black trim
Command
Harman Kardon

I have also opted for the factory collection which I am really looking forward to.

I will get a build date in a couple of weeks but Dealer confident he can get me a June build date.

I will update when I know details and I might even write up a report when I collect the car with some photos.

Well done. :thumb:

You can change the 'Car: BMW' in your profile now... :D

just about to do the same but a convertible, my dealers says he can get a late June / early July build date and it will be the new engine

I have the black/black/black combo in the convertible. I like it, but then my CLK was exactly the same! Not sure what colour I'll have next year when I change; options are: BLACK/BLACK/BLACK!

I ordered my E350 CGI Sport coupe with the new petrol engine this week as well.

I have been quoted August/September delivery, although I have gone for the Designo Mauritius Blue paint so that may delay it a bit.

Be interesting to see which one arrives first!

Did you go for the red leather inside? :D

Just out of curiosity how would you tell that you have the new engine when you collect it, you're not just taking the dealers word for it are you?

HP on data card, also co2 emmissions on the v5, and the manual should also be updated giving the same info

There are other changes to the 2012 model as well, including a new steering wheel and so it will very clear that it is the new model.

Any pics of this new steering wheel.... I'll be gutted if its similar to the new C class sport wheel!!

I hope I dont start regretting buying when I did... apart from the £6k I got of list of course :)

It is the same as the steering wheel from the new CLS. Not sure if similar to C class sport. Have a look on the Mb website and you will see it. The new model also has the new full colour instruments from the CLS and C.

Thats annoying, how can a car this new have a mild interior facelift!!

Got mine in March 2010 and still loving it. Seeing facelift models around will take the shine off a bit :(

Thats life I'm afraid. anyway the facelifts are very very minor and none existent from the outside. I will get my one come august and read on here Sept/Oct that there is another tweek or facelift model about to be released.

Enjoy your car

I was referring to my car (the cab) only just a year old so a little premature for any kind of update in my opinion.

True, but as the parent car is 2yr old I guess if they update that then automatically its direct derivatives follow

Personally I would not worry about it, sounds as if you are letting this impinge on your enjoyment of your car. Dont let it.

Agreed, its not that big a deal.

I must point out I absolutely love the new car... no regrets after defecting from the dark side (BMW:devil:).
