I managed to get my CLS placed for its first MOT and service just days before lock down as it was three years old.

About a week earlier I got a nearside front tyre pressure sensor not found warning but the next day it was fine.
During lockdown the car has only done a few short runs for groceries, oh! and a visit to A&E with the missus after she experienced chest pain. Thankfully the medication she’s on now ( after three changes) seems to be helping so today after a grocery run we decided to go further afield ( about 20 miles ) and have a short walk.
Yes you guessed, that tyre pressure warning came back and again on the return journey.

About six months back MB replaced three alloys due to corrosion, why do manufacturers insist on diamond cut alloys, anyway because the nearside wheel had slight kerbing they refused to replace it but after kicking off a bit the dealer got it refurbished at no cost to myself. It wasn’t a particularly good job where they lacquered over the dirt on the inside of the rim and managed to damage the centre cap which in fairness they did replace later on.
Now with this tyre pressure warning on the same wheel I’m beginning to wonder if it got damaged in any way while the wheel was getting “refurbished”
Anyone had any issues with tyre pressure sensors ?

I think that 6 months between wheel refurbishment and another TPS fault is a long a gap for MB to consider it as their problem.but, if you do not ask them............................Hope you get it resolved.

First of all, wishing you all the very best with your Missus health. Tyre pressure sensors can play up sometimes so check the tyre pressure, fill in the air if required and then reset the counter. If you do not have a puncture or a faulty valve and the warning keeps coming back, talk to your MB dealer, they may be able to fix it free if it is just out of warranty. If not, there are some good independent MB specialists who charge a lot less. Not sure where you are but I use one in Isleworth in London, superb guys.
