K&N filters, worth it?

When was the last time you saw a racing car with 40,000 miles on the same airfilter, used in dusty conditions?

Comparing racing cars which operate for short times and on clean tracks to road cars is pretty pointless.

When was the last time you saw a race car with 40k on the clock full stop?

K&N often ask for Guinea Pigs. LINK.

ive had a pair of K&N`s in for just over a year now, no problems as the E55 also doesnt have a MAF

Hmm, lots of good input which is appreciated. I think I will go with a different pair of filters for the car, however, I think it will be ITG filters rather than K&N as they seem to have a better reputation within the motorsport fraternity.

But thank you all again for your comments, they really are appreciated! :)

I have one with 130k on see my sig :D we are not just talking F1 and track racing there are plenty of race cars with more than 40k on:doh:

I'd go for Swan extra slim filters.
