Just heard the sad news that Cheggers has died.

Yeah, same here Darrell.

Seemed a good guy. However, I thought he'd lost the plot when you did the naked presenting a few years ago. :)

One of the nice guys amongst some of the less savoury that pervade(d) the BBC.
His ex-wife had some nice words to say about him too.
Cheggers and Noel Edmonds on Saturday morning TV was great viewing for kids.
RIP.

Apparently he would have agreed with you.

Sad when someone your own age dies. Brings the whole mortality thing into much sharper focus than is comfortable.

RIP Cheggers.

I was 50 in March but people within 10 years of me are now starting to shuffle off. George Michael was only a few years older than me. I’ve got cousins and friends his age.

Poor old Cheggars, seemed one of life’s good guys. He was actually entertaining, unlike the z list nobodies that present everything nowadays.

I think he could be remembered as an inoffensive bloke.
Same age as me. Reminds you of your own mortality.
RIP

I was sad to hear the news today. He was a great guy. Great fun on the TV. Terrible shame!! 9 years my senior but makes you think. Don’t dawdle over decisions in life!!! [emoji848]

Sad news.

CPP was staple viewing when I was a youngster.

I think he did a stint on the Big Breakfast when I watched it back at the start.

Nothing bad to say about him - seemed like a nice bloke with unfaltering energy.

If Ricky Gervais can offend, don't watch, but here's a little memento he proffered yesterday.
