Just got rid of my Michelins Primacy HP MO tyres (225/55r16). Yeap that much satisfied with them!! Lasted 40.000 km (not bad?) although main issue was appalling ride quality during last two months. Car felt as if it was on riding on wires rather than rubber, and this on smooth roads and 10-30 mph. On the motorway they roared and thundered at will, depending on speed, temperature and humidity.
Had it with premium tyres for day to day driving tbh.
So four new Kellys UHP (a Goodyear subsidiary) at half price vs the above this morning, very first impression OK- car back to normal again! These are made in Germany. Traction AA, Tmp A, treadware 260, with rim-protector, 95W spec. Noise 67db, fuel E! Wet grip C.
Time will tell.

Ahhhhh Kelly Steelmark. Bring back some memories. Had them on a few Peugeots and an Astramax whilst at college. These were affectionally know as Starsky and Hutch specials... £30 fitted and balanced for a pair in 1992, they laid the thickest black lines, squealed like movie sound effects and produced clouds of dense blue rubber smoke.

I don't know how good ride and handling was I'm sorry, was a little too childish to notice. The 205 did go backwards through a dry stone wall one damp evening though....

Wow a blast from the past, have not seen Kelly tyres for sale in years, where did you buy them :D

Don't remember them..... but just looked them up:

Cant find a lot, if anything at all on the web for them but guy who sold them stocks mich/contis/nexen/kellys/chinese.
I was going for Falken but not available. I only needed to see price and "made in Germany" to decide (ok and traction ratings). Some (not so great) 20200828_164348.jpg20200828_164339.jpg20200828_164316.jpgpics below. Will get back when sleep is over.
