How long are you getting from your battery's in your key? Mine are running out after only a couple of month... anyone else had this happen? Car is a 2005 E55k
Don't know if it makes any difference ?
Light on fob is not stuck on or owt.....!
Thanks
Lee

Happens to mine too Lee. Even went to the dealers and they replaced batteries for free.
I get the "Key not recognised" message now and then but take no notice now as long as the doors open. Happens every couple of months , same as yours.
Do you have keyless too?

Hi Roger
Yes I've just been searching and it's saying keyless go drains them a lot quicker and also keeping keys close to the car still allows them to communicate while not in use... I've never had a message flash up. I just go to open or lock the car and nothing, no red light on fob" change battery's and all is fine.... hmmmm I Best Buy in bulk from now on... id buy a couple of new fobs if I knew it would solve it but I can live with it, only use the Car once or twice a week if that.

Years on mine, I have Keyless Go too. But I replace mine every year anyway because batteries they are cheap.
