Key fob wont work and radio has bad reception

Hi I have a clk w209 my keyfob won't work at all and my radio wont pick up fm frequency I have check no8 fuse in the boot fuse box it has blown and keeps blowing when I replace it why ? And would the fuse being blown stop my key fob working at all or just from a distance thx ray

Your alarm siren that sits behind the nearside front wheel shares the same fuse as the radio amplifier the car will lock but you have to nearly touch the door handle with the key.
Dead easy to change and doesn't need star to get it working. The only problem is it costs about £100

Hi my key fob wont work any where I point it at the car but it's starts it ok

stand right by the drivers door and point it at the handle, Have you changed the batteries recently?

Yes this all started to happen after I had it jet washed and cleaned

Does the key open the door if you hold it very close to handle

No but it did work once the other day
It locked it then opened it and the boot then stopped again

Suspect alarm siren and batteries in key fob need changing.

All done disconnected the alarm siren replaced fuse#8 in boot key fob and radio now work perfectly thx for all your help ray

My w220 is also reluctant to open & close using the key fob. I don't think it's the fob battery. Any ideas? Change a fuse?
