    Hi,
I got a fob that work fine to open or close the doors as long as I am pointing it to the driver door handle, but as soon as I am a bit away or not pointing it to the handle it won't work. The batteries are new.
The other fob is fine to open and close the doors further away.
Any hint on what to do?
    Cheers.
    Olivier

    Cheers.
Nothing to tinker with then? There are 2 signals is it? And one is not doing its job?
No way I pay for a new key. I got 3 keys, one work fine, the other is missing one signal from what I can gather and the other is the flat one that just start the car.
Anyone played with those to see if anything can be done?

Not sure if this is going to work but on Audis, when changing your batteries, you need to reset it.

On Audis you put the key in the ignition and press lock and unlock button a few times.

I heard on MB's it is a bit different but you could try all..

You could try to put the key in the ignition and push the lock button on your key fob, pull the key out while holding down the lock button and press the unlock button 5 times. Your key should now be reset and ready for use

    or...

Put the key in ignition (needs to be turned on) and the car started before pressing and holding lock then pressing unlock five times
