Hi

i am looking to purchase a clk but the person has advised that the main key broke and now the second fob does not allow the keyless entry.

Is there anyway i can get this programmed again so that it does work keyless? Is it expensive and can anyone recommend reputable places apart from the dealers who will probably charge alot.

On a further note when purchasing a clk 320 is there any common issues i need to look out for?

Any help would be great.

You don't say what year you're looking at but check for rust...

Regarding the keys dealer only, about £250 each. Take along V5 and two forms of ID

keyless entry

Hi
When I bought my CLK I noticed my only remote was falling apart, I went to the dealer who ordered another remote with key, £257! I had to take my logbook to them to prove I owned my car! That is a 3 button remote, I am not sure if earlier models all have 3 button remotes. Mine is a Jan 2001 230.

I think you have to pay extra to code the new key for the keyless go feature to work, correct me if I am wrong :D

1) Order key from dealer, £260 approx.
2) Pay extra to get the keyless go feature to work.
