Keyless go button

Hi all

Wonder if any one can help

My keyless go on my w211 open and locks the doors but the start stop button does not work

I have taken the gear knob of and sprayed the connectors
I have allso tested voltage and there is 12 v coming to the switch

I have also tried to bypass the switch with a price of wire but nothing happens

Can any one help please

Seems a strange problem. Since I have Keyless Go, I'll be interested in the fix.

This might sound like a daft question but, you are holding your foot on the brake when you press the button arn't you?

Hi yes foot on brake it's just dead

I have a keyless gear knob with gaiter off my old clk500 which you can try if you want... It worked perfectly, I just upgraded it to the later round button....

thought you said you had tried shorting across the wires & nothing happened - if that was the case, a a new knob ain't going to do anything either!

Hi all

Found the fault the wire had snapped at the bottom of the gear stick

Could not fix the brake so ran a wire up the side off gear stick
