Car
CLK 270CDI
Hello, This is my first post. I have a '04 CLK with keyless go. All is working ok apart from start button. It was stuck down when I got the car, it is now free and tested but still will not start the car. Can anyone tell me were to find the control module for the keyless go as I think the button has been unplugged.
Thanks
Nick

Does pressing the button switch on the electrics ?

If so, you need to press down on the brake pedal and then press the button before the car will start.

I know it's a stupid question but often overlooked.

(See nickchamp nipping out to the car to check his starting procedure)

I expect incoming if he knows this.

Hello all, thanks for the welcome!

The button is dead! no function at all. I have tested the switch inside the knob and it is working.

Sorry, seem a bit short? I'm not the best when it comes to communication.

Can you follow the cabling and see what is at the other end ?

I'm not sure of the location of any control module for this.

I'm sure there are others that can shed some light on it. Some of the guys take things to bits for fun. I end up getting left with extra bits ...

Hi, I think tracing the wire my be the next step, but i was hoping to avoid stripping the hole car out. i may have a quick look under the passenger foot well, unless anyone knows that its not there.
