KeylessGo key not recognised

Hi All,
In my CLK W209 (2005) i have KeylessGo, which I think is absolutely superb.
However, one of the two keys that were supplied with the car is not recognised by the KeylessGo system. The non-recognised key works to open lock start via key perfectly well, just not recognised by the KG system.
is there something I can to to re-sync the key with theKG system? Or is this only possible with someone with a STAR ?
Any tips or tricks will be very well recieved.....

Exactly the same when I bought mine.... although I had to buy a new key as neither of mine would work.... They are "special" keyless go keys with different internal bits....

I believe them both to be KG keys , but am not sure. i will check the part numbers , if poss, tonight when I get thome.
