Just the other day I was stationary at a set of zebra crossings awaiting a couple to clear when I saw an old dear of about 80 start to cross from the far offside. I stayed put to let her cross when the car behind me a Red XR31{had to be} began to sound his horn. I clearly pointed to the pedestrian on the crossing which apparently he mistook as an obscene gesture, he then proceeded to drive around me and give me some hand signals of his own and more horn sounding. I could see that he was a young man of about 20 and very irate. I simply smiled ,tutted and waved my head like a school teacher telling off a young boy. He suddenly braked hard on the crossing and jumped out of his car. I thought here we go a bit of rage. Although I can handle myself with out question I thought it it best to remain in my car and see what unfolded. As he came towards my car I was pleasantly surprised to see our local Q car {police robbery squad} pull up next to me and two of our finest boys in blue pull this guy to the pavement. Apparently they had been following him for a while due to his erratic and aggressive driving and were feeding him the full lenght of rope lol. As he was being questioned he said he never saw the pedestrian to which the officer said and I guess you never looked in your rear view mirror for a mile and a half too otherwise u would have seen us . I laughed at this to which the young man became verbally aggressive towards me asking me why I was laughing, I said " Hopefully in a few years time when you get some road sense and forward vision you may laugh at someone like yourself!
Ah well you know what they say youth is wasted on the young.
