Mod 9: C43 AMG front bumper & Foglights fitted.

Decided to give the inside a Total clean (maybe a bit OTT for some ) as it was in a less than tidy state...

Removed: Front seats, Rear seats, Dash panels, Speaker grills, Hovered up 8 years worth of coins (39p), sweets, Lego bricks & hair & washed the carpets.

Now the inside of the car is as clean (if not more!) as the day it left the factory :bannana:

I decided to fit the iPod kit inside the centre armrest instead of behind the headunit due to the lack of space with all the cabling etc:

Then I wired it up to the glovebox:

The kit allows full iPod control, album, track & artist names displayed on the headunit - :bannana:

Update March 2010

Sub-woofer & Amp upgrade now only takes up a quarter of the boot so I finally have a usable boot. - Not a 'clean install' which doesn't bother me!

Autumn 2010

During the summer I had a go at a DIY refurbishment of my rear alloys as they were in a sorry state.

-Fitted 5000k (White) Dashboard error-less LED W5W Bulbs - Note the 'white-ness' compared to the fogs:

With the MTECH H7's they look like OEM Xenons.


October 2010, car has now done 140,000 Miles, so current pictures after a good clean:

Spring 2011

-Removal of all rust
-Spraying of long awaited C43 AMG Sideskirts


After removing exisiting 'Sport' sideskirts alot of visible surface rust was uncovered. Added to that, both front wings have been getting worse after the road-salt from our extreme winter.

Front wing & side skirt removed:

With my new Angle Grinder and rust removing attachment ive started on the rust (yes I know there are still black holes of rust, these are in progress shots!)

More photos when ive finished Grinding, sanding, priming, spray painting and lacquering - im going to be busy!


Mod 22: C43 AMG Side Skirts

Massive thanks to Momomo for helping me source them! here's how I got them:

They are alot smaller on the underside than the standard Sport ones eh?:

After all the rust has been Angle Grinded off, a heavy coating of Dynax S50 is going to be applied :bannana: watch this space!

Upon removing my 'Sport' sideskirts I discovered a hell of a lot of rust all around the jacking points. I suggest ALL facelift W202 owners have a good look around before it becomes a major problem.

And after a couple of days in the bodyshop, Grounded down, weather-proofed, sprayed:

I was lucky that no holes had appeared.

Both rear arches were de-rusted aswell at no extra cost: :bannana:
